Nigel Wilkes is a Noongar Elder, dancer, actor, songman, yidaki player and founding member of Mungart Yonga Dance Group. Nigel has performed with numerous high profile musicians including Archie Roach, Yothu Yindu, Paul Simon and Aerosmith. As an actor he has had roles in feature films including South Cross and Natural Justice: Heat and stage plays including The Dreamers and No Sugar for Yirra Yaakin. He is passionate about sharing culture and regularly facilitates school and university workshops to pass down Noongar culture to younger generations.
